Ten things I would take
Hello reader and today for my first week of Summer Learning Journey I had to list ten things I would take if I went on the large canoe Hikianalia. I can't have any food which requires a fridge, of course, because I didn't have any electronics back then.
I would take:
1.Bread
Because if it goes stale we could warm it by a fire.
2.Apples
Because it can give energy for tasks.
3.Rice
Easily stored, can steam, can fry, lasts long, can mix with other foods
4.Egg
You can fry it, poach it, useful for a good meal
5.Seafood
Because it is easy to catch when at sea and can produce good protein
6.Dried meat
For example, beef jerky, etc. If it's dried it is not going to be bad for a while and I can just get some random piece of meat and dry it in the sun.
7.Coconuts
Because the fibre is good for making nets and the milk and oil has many benefits
8.Veges
Like broccoli, carrots, cucumbers, and it helps retain energy
9.Tropical fruits
Such as mango, pineapple, watermelon, because fruit can be very good for the body.
10.Tomatoes
Because tomato juice is good for the skin, healthy, you can mix it with other foods

Kia Ora Sophie, this is Shannon from the Summer Learning Journey.
ReplyDeleteWhat a spectacular list of things to bring. You’ve really thought hard about it and included some great food. I especially like how you have included explanations of why you have chosen these specific goods. It’s very helpful for the readers to understand.
Toast is such a versatile food. Did you know as well as being able to toast it on a fire like you suggested, you can make it less stale by covering it in water and then rebaking it? It gives the insides more moisture and returns it to its former status with a little bit crisper of a crust. How cool is that!
I also really appreciate how healthy your list is. You have included a lot of fruit and vegetables and proteins. It’ll definitely keep the crew nice and healthy on this overseas trip. Well done for considering fibre and protein as well!
It would be really awesome if you could include pictures or colours into your post to really engage your readers. Perhaps you could look at these tips for making eye catching blog posts to help or grab some inspiration.
Happy holidays!
