Jean Batten and Amelia Earhart venn chart
Hello everyone!
Today my task was to read about two inspirational female aviators who flew across the world. I had to write about their differences and similarities, so I decided to use a Venn chart!
Have a look..
Kia ora Sophie, this is Kieryn from the Summer Learning Journey. You have done an excellent job creating this venn diagram which compares the two aviators Jean Batten and Amelia Earhart. I never knew that Jean Batten always took a silk dress for the parties she would attend, or that Amelia Earhart flew from Canada to Northern Ireland without stopping, so thank you for sharing this new information! Being able to fly such a long distance must have been extremely hard work, and I can only imagine the amount of practising she must have done to prepare for her trip. Have you ever been on an airplane flight before? If so, where did you go and how long did it take for you to get there? Did you know that Jean Batten was only 16 years old when she had her first flight! That is such a young age to have started her career which shows us just how passionate she must have been about flying. Amelia Earhart was also quite young when she started aviation, having her first flight at the age of 23 years old. I have always wanted to learn how to fly a plane. I think it would be amazing to be able to fly yourself anywhere in the world! Have you ever thought about becoming a pilot? If you could fly anywhere in the world, where would you go? Nga mihi
