SLJ task 9

Hello everyone and today I had to read websites about indigenous communities to get more familiar with them.

The Maya People
More than 6 million Maya people currently live in America
The Maya people speak more than 30 languages

The Inuit People
There are four regions in Canada known as Inuit Nunangat
They think that the land, water, and ice to be integral to their way of life

what other indigenous communities do you know about and what things do you know about them?

  1. Kia ora Sophie, this is Kieryn from the Summer Learning Journey.
Well done for participating in the Summer Learning Journey activities and creating this post about indigenous communities.
I see you have included some information on the Maya people, and mentioned that they speak more than 30 languages. Is it between the tribe they can speak all of those languages, or can each person speak 30 different languages?
The Inuit people sound lovely as well, and learning that this indigenous community is in Canada is great. Canada is such a beautiful country, with tons of wildlife and gorgeous scenery.
Have you ever been to Canada?
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?
It would be awesome if you replied to comment and let me know!
    Nga mihi
