SLJ task 6

For SlJ today I had to write to Prime Minister Jacinda Adern about one particular issue.
Dear Prime Minister,
We should ban CFC because it penetrates the ozone layer.
If harmful UV rays get through then not only will the risk of skin cancer increase, but the ice starts melting faster.
Then the water in the sea gets less salty, killing all the plankton which fish eat, causing the lack of seafood. Then people will start fighting about food, so they will breed more cows, setting off more methane.
This cycle will recur unless we be proactive and prevent this disaster.

If you had to write to Jacinda Adern, what would you write about?

SLJ task 5

For SLJ we had to write three things we treasure and why.
Here's my list:
My grandma's rosary: because it has been with us for a long time and I'll need to pass it on to the next generation
Our Christmas tree: it's been with us for this year and the year before that and the year before that and the year before that. So, technically, it's been here for years and years and yeeeeeears.
Last but not least, Mum's recipe for beef noodle soup. Mum will teach me how to make it and Ava will learn how to do it too! It's very yummy and it's my favourite thing to eat.
What three things do you think are important to you? Write your response in a comment and post.

SLJ task 4

For task 4 we had to write three things that we learned from two videos we had to watch.
Look at this list:

Video 1

  • Serena Williams had her baby in September
  • Serena earned 80 million during her career, winning 23 grand slams
  • Serena made 84 million less than Rodger Federer
Video 2
  • In 2005, Venus Williams won what was the longest women's finale in history
  • A decade ago Wimbledon became the last grand slam to win women equal prize money
  • They don't do any negotiations
I also would like to know if they have any other children.
Who is your favourite sport player?

Summer Learning journey task 3

Hello everyone! Today for blogging I had to choose three superpowers and write why I chose them.

First, Invisibility, so I can play hide-and-seek with Ava and never get caught, and also if I want to do some reading Ava won't find me so I can do my reading in peace for once

Next, I would choose Telekinesis so that if I make a mess cleaning up is easier

Last, I would choose weather so I can soften hurricanes, pour rain on wild fires, etc.

If you had to choose three superpowers, which would you choose?

Jean Batten and Amelia Earhart venn chart

Hello everyone!
Today my task was to read about two inspirational female aviators who flew across the world. I had to write about their differences and similarities, so I decided to use a Venn chart!
Have a look..

Ten things I would take

Hello reader and today for my first week of Summer Learning Journey I had to list ten things I would take if I went on the large canoe Hikianalia. I can't have any food which requires a fridge, of course, because I didn't have any electronics back then.
I would take:

1.Bread
Because if it goes stale we could warm it by a fire.

2.Apples
Because it can give energy for tasks.

3.Rice
Easily stored, can steam, can fry, lasts long, can mix with other foods

4.Egg
You can fry it, poach it, useful for a good meal

5.Seafood
Because it is easy to catch when at sea and can produce good protein

6.Dried meat
For example, beef jerky, etc. If it's dried it is not going to be bad for a while and I can just get some random piece of meat and dry it in the sun.

7.Coconuts
Because the fibre is good for making nets and the milk and oil has many benefits

8.Veges
Like broccoli, carrots, cucumbers, and it helps retain energy

9.Tropical fruits
Such as mango, pineapple, watermelon, because fruit can be very good for the body.

10.Tomatoes
Because tomato juice is good for the skin, healthy, you can mix it with other foods

Rainbow hunter

Linky Link
Hello guys!
Today I am going to tell you about my very long story!
It is (right now) longer than World of Songs, which is 6 docs long with medium writing.
My story here is 11 docs long with small writing!
This story is about a girl named Pepper who catches rainbows for a living.
But one day she finds a pink one and fails to catch it, and when she wakes up she is in a different world!
As she adapts to her surroundings of tribe Adeera, she finds a cryptic mystery locked deep in the walls of the city.
Can she unlock the mystery of the Rainbow connection?
Also, can you beat my record of 11 pages (btw you must have small writing)?
*Oh, and I forgot to mention that it's a series, look out for A Girl Of Many Colours*
